Cabaret Flotante in Madrid. Totally roaring 20′s Atmosphere!

Some pictures I took for a spontaneous gig organized by a young group of musicians by the name of Cabaret Flotante on a sunday afternoon in the amazing  Casa de Campo’s lake of Madrid. Totally 20′s atmosphere.

I was invited there and, like anybody else was there,  I was surprised and excited of this suggestive idea.                                                                                Take about 30 musicians, make them jump on floatings boats on a lake and make them play 20′s music! That’s it.                                                                In these tough and complicated times, it’s a good idea to take advantage of what the city still offers for free: nature at a few metro stops, sun and the creativity of young and motivated people.                                                  Like French people says: Chapeau, Pia!

Let’s dance (and then..eat)

Back to Madrid, I just got this façade design project ready to show.

Raices del Mundo is a restaurant based in Madrid with an interesting multicultural concept and a strong brand image, made by a young italian graphic designer, Michele Cecchini.

The Restaurant, “Roots of the world” traslated, is proposing every night a trip around the world just       having a seat on the custom designed chairs,  opening the Passport menu and looking at a dance exhibition from every corner of the world. Tango, Bellydance or Polinesian dance, whatever. Every night a different show is on.

The restaurant is a box of activities,  you can shop fair trade, you can visit  art exhibitions and learn every kind of folk dance.

Recently the owner decided to separate the dance Academy from the other activities opening a new Academia de baile y musica near the Restaurant. Both sites are in C/Galileo, near  Sala G.Galilei, a temple for the music lovers of the city. Just in case you live in or visit Madrid..have a look.

And what is this all about?

The new academy façade needed a new look, naturally according with the brand image taste and the other façade already existing just on the corner.

Result is using vynil dancers silhouettes, the two brand colors and that’s it! I’m happy when I can have the possibility, even if is a small contribute, to back to decoration and  design of spaces.
